Recently the FDA has expanded the number of ingredients (wheat gluten, corn meal, corn gluten, soy protein, rice bran, and rice protein) from international sources being tested for melamine and cyanuric acid (a chemical related to melamine). Furthermore, it is being reported that melamine has been discovered in swine tests and possibly in a poultry unit in the United States.
We would like to reassure all of our customers that Kent Feeds and Evergreen Mills do not purchase wheat gluten, corn meal, corn gluten, soy protein, rice bran, or rice protein from the Chinese supplier sources cited in the product recalls.The following branded animal feed products are not involved in the melamine associated recall.
